How To Add An RSS/Atom Feed To Hootsuite

Really simply syndication (RSS) feeds are a great way to save time, and stay updated on the latest information from your favourite websites. When you set up an RSS feed in HootSuite, you have the ability to take an RSS feed from any site and update it to your social network accounts automatically. Not only will this save you time and effort, but it will also make your social network accounts a hotspot for the latest news. Hootsuite has a ton of features people don’t use very much, and that’s too bad because it really is one of my favorite multi-channel social media management tools. How To Add RSS feed to Hootsuite 1. Go to Hootsuite and Log in. 2. Click the Gear (Settings) icon on the left-aligned launch menu. 3. Select RSS/Atom. 4. Under RSS/Atom Feeds, click plus (Add New Feed) icon. 5. Add an RSS/Atom feed a. Type or paste URL. b. Click to select a profile that will post the RSS feed. c. Click to select how often HootSuite will check for new posts. d. Click to select how many posts will occur at one time. Note: If you select 5, but only 2 new posts are available, only 2 new posts will occur. e. Optional: Click to add check mark to include text from post in messages. f. Optional: Type text to add to each message; 20 characters maximum. g. Click to select a URL shortener. h. Click Save Feed . Click Cancel to stop the process…
